I'm going to Streisand's concert for free!

Myself and several friends are going to be seat-fillers this Friday in Columbus! How cool! I guess Babs hates to see empty seats, we are to be seated and as the actual seat holders arrive, we vacate the seats and are then assigned other seats. There is also a lottery for better seats that did not sell.

I know the box office guest services manager at the arena. I heard about seat fillers from someone who did this in NYC on Bab's last tour.

This woman is as self aborbed as they come. Maybe if she didn't charge 700+ for a good seat, she wouldn't need "seat fillers".

I can only hope that this is really her FAREWELL. Hate hearing about her.

I checked for a single ticket for my mother tonight in Philly they had first row floor seat still....she is a thief to charge these ticket scalper prices $750.00 for a ticket, oh yes dont forget she is donating less than $5.00 per ticket sold to her foundation ...lol

That's TERRIFIC!!! Good for you that you're seeing her show for free. I sang in her choir for her "Timeless" concerts in 2000 in LA & NYC. All during rehearsals and performances, she couldn't have been more kind and professional. In LA, she gave each choir member 2 free tickets for her closing night in LA.

I'll be seeing her 4 times for this current tour.......Minneapolis, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Sure, some people may think that the concerts are expensive. Sort of the glass is half full thing. But, if they don't want to go, then they don't have to.

And, a large portion of the proceeds are going to charity. Not $5 or something small like the previous post.

I hate it when people post things that aren't true. Then all of a sudden it takes on a life of it's own.......making it true. Just because someone says something or writes something, doesn't make it true. That's the power of the written word.

You are a stalker. Getting your pic taken over and over again with a total and complete stranger, is disturbing. PERIOD! I was standing right there when you got your pic taken AGAIN with JLY at the Flea Market. He was clearly irked that you were asking again.

We all know about your situation at The David Letterman Show, too.

You say you're a casting director/stage manager. Is that as true as saying you're not a stalker? I've done a lot of regional and Equity Theatre here in Los Angeles for many, many years. Never once have I known a fellow performer, or stage manager to get thier pic taken over and over again with a total stranger. It's sick.

I'm trying to determine if I'm a queer or a wannabe.

How are we using "queer"? As in, "Boy, people sure have a queer way of being nice" or "Boy, you are as queer as Liza May when she decks herself out in sequins and performs 'God Bless The Child'".

While I do fall directly into the latter, directly, am I a wannabe as well?

This is all to queer for me.

Part of me wants to see the show, and part of me looks at her CDs after her marriage as well as her interviews and I frown.

Even though her songlist for the new show looks interesting, I am afraid she is going to sing every song in the same dull way and 'communicate' with the crowd via the teleprompter.

I am not going to spend money again like that for her to sing and read off of a screen. And for her to show not one true spark of wit or humor.

I could see my self saying something similar fflagg if I had seen Barbra before in concert, but I never have. I'm actually a newish fan of Barbra's, but a HUGE one now.

To say the least, it will be memorable.

The concert is supposed to be different, and I hope it will be. And THANK GOD for the songlist I've been hearing because I've had enough of the same old hits that she was "required" to sing. Good to see some material she has never or rarely sung live.

I would plotz she she sang "You're Gonna Hear From Me" and "I Never Has Seen Snow". She's supposedly singing "Unusual Way" from Nine which would be fantastic.

I can't wait!

I got my Mom a Babs ticket today, from www.tixx.com for less than face the printed face value for the show in New York Oct. 11th, I am happy to send her but I will stay home, even at less than cost i cant afford 2 tickets...lol
