Add me to the folks who miss being able to see "Caroline." So far, it is the only show I have been to where I felt compelled to go around to the stage door to talk with the cast--and they were all great people. Since it closed, I really haven't seen anything that can hold a candle to it, musical or not. I just might have to go down to DC and see it there. Thank goodness the cast album is as wonderfully recorded as it is--I can put it on, close my eyes and still conjure up the show in my mind.

The show takes place in November, 1963. We know that Emmie was born in 1947, so she's 16 or 17. Larry (who's in Vietnam) was born in 1943, so he's around 20, meaning that Caroline had him when she was about 19.
