I LOVED IT. Christina Applegate was amazing, way better than I ever expected. I thought the show was really funny, especially the closet scene! Christina's voice got soooooo much better. Her dancing and acting are great too. When she sang " If My Friends Could See Me Now" I was so impressed! Her singing and dnacing were great in that song. My favorite part of the show was when she was dancing in front of the lights, in that song.
About Denis O'Hare, he was extremely funny too! The elevator scene made me laugh so hard, I couldn't stop.
Janine Lamanna and Kyra Da Costa wre awsome in their song too.
In the "Club Pompeii" scene the dancing was a little odd, but still great.
LOVED THE SHOW!!!!!

Who found the show amazing? Me? No, I merely enjoyed the show and what it had to offer.
What I find "amazing" is that more and more people are coming around and posting their love for the show. Considering what happens to them when they post their affection for the show on these boards, it is amazing.

^ I agree.
Now I consider the Coleman score to be AMAZING, timeless, and one of Broadway's best in history.

JustMe2 and Ljay, you guys have found another fan in me! I absolutely loved Sweet Charity when I saw it in July, so much so that I am going back again in October, even though it is so hard for me because of where I'm at in college. Christina Applegate...perfection! Just thought I should inform you of another SC lover.

Another Charity fan over here... saw it in August, had the time of my life, seeing it again in November and cannot wait. It is great to read these reviews. With all the negativity surrounding Christina and this production I'm always happy when I read that yet another person had a great time.
You know what else makes me happy? checkyourpersonality's avatar.

I saw it during the Boston tryout run in March (with Charlotte - who is an amazing dancer) and I really enjoyed it. I still stand behind my positive review!
Glad to hear more people are enjoying this show. I certainly thought it was fun.

Posted: 9/22/05 at 11:49amI saw the show at the first try-out stop in Minneapolis - that's where I'm from. I thought the show was really weak at the time and it's not hard to impress me!!!! I am moving to New York in October, I'll have to catch the production as I know it has changed A LOT!!! I hope my second impression is better than the first - I really like Christina Applegate!! GO BROADWAY!!

Did you all see Christina on A&E's Breakfast with the Arts on Sunday, Sept. 11? She was soo adorable - they asked a lot of interesting questions that haven't been overdone pertaining to her thoughts/role/feelings towards Sweet Charity.
