I saw a community theatre production of Fiddler...

Saw a production at a community theatre near me and while it was a great production for a community theatre, I was blown away by the final moments.

**Minor spoilers**

Right after Tevye wheeled his cart offstage when they were leaving Anatevka the cast came back out on stage in a line the same as the one they all entered in during Tradition (it was the original choreography). They were still holding hands however this time, they were walking towards the part of the theatre they entered in the beginning (so reverse from Tradition) However, this time after Tevye and his family walked away, someone in a soldier costume followed them. That person was followed by a few of the ensemble members wearing there costumes from during the show, expect there was a yellow star attached to their chest. Some also had pink triangles on their chest (which meant they were gay, I believe?). Behind them were people looking like they were from the 50's and 60's era, one with a picket sign saying "Never Again" on it. Behind them were people who seemed to be from the Civil Rights movement, behind them people from 70's and 80's, and then into 90's era and the final few were dressed in modern day clothes.

It was so beautiful and moving, I really enjoyed it.

From what I understand of it, playing tradition slowly with the ending notes being flat / sharp could work very well, and add to the bitterness of the moment. Maybe this instead of the framing / wall in the Sher revival could have helped his production and leave people less confused.

I appoligise for any spelling mistakes. I may be on my mobile. Clumsy fingers and small little touchscreen keys don't mixx. I try to spellcheck, but I may miss something.

Lol. I think the community theater's finale interpretation is a bit too on the nose for a Broadway production. But I do like the idea alot.
