I just saw it.

Sorry if this was already posted, I haven't heard about it.

It shows clips of a bunch of people outside of the theatre RAVING about the show. The woman in the last clip stated "This is Broadway this is what it's all about!" LOL.

I found this amusing.

Anyone else see it? Sorry if this is old news.

I just saw the commercial, too.

They probably had to stand outside the theater for two weeks to find four people they could quote in the commercial.

Saw it last night, too.

From a post on ATC:

50ish woman: "The show is a knockout. It's beautiful, it's touching, it's spectacular."

Mid-late 40's woman: "It was a beautiful love story, and it was an even greater musical."

Two 40ish women: "It was a roller coaster. You hung on for the ride on this one. The music took ya. Ya came down, ya came up (complete with rolling fist), you didn't know what to expect..." Seemed like she got cut off.

Older couple: The man said, "I'm not great for musicals, but let me tell you, you hit the jackpot." The woman said, "I liked it."

60ish woman: "Everybody should see it."

20ish woman: "You walk out and you just want to enjoy life. That's how I feel right now."

40ish woman: "This is Broadway. This is what it's all about."

Saw it...it was SPECTACULAR.


My favorite was definitely the "This is what Broadway is all about" woman.

Haha... whew. But, honestly, what were the marketing folks supposed to do?? Grab the USUAL theater-goer and have your commercial say,
"I have no idea what THAT was... but it wasn't musical theater."
"Terrible. Just terrible."
"Uuuugh... *runs off*"

They're paid to make it look as good as possible. Heh. And who knows? They may sell a few tickets off of that-- though judging from the thread about overselling seats... I'd hope they keep better records of the tickets they DO sell...

I have to say, whether you liked it or not, or most of this people do or not...most of the people around me at the show yesterday were raving about it when they left the theater. There were a couple of detractors as well, but the majority seemed enthused by a show that got a standing ovation from about half the audience.
