Idina Musical Movie

I've been a fan of Idina Menzel a little while before Frozen made her the legend she is 26 years after Rent. The first time i heard her sing (like some of you) of course was the Wicked cast album. Then i saw her as Nancy in Enchanted then bits of her I Stand CD. I discovered Glee over a year ago with her as April. I think more than ever it's time Hollywood or Netflix should give her a movie musical with her as the lead. Whether an original musical or adaptation, Idina deserves to expand her outside New York fanbase beyond Elsa. Who's with me

Why would I pay money to listen to Idina sing in a movie when I can pour battery acid in my ears for free instead?

Dang, where you getting this free battery acid? It’s 10.99 a gallon at the battery acid store near me. And even if I want to DIY it, it’s still ten bucks for a pack of double A’s. 

ETA: I would also like to see Idina do more film projects, musical or not. She was pretty great in Uncut Gems (a movie I liked more than I thought I would).

You're about to discover this board is NOT full of Idina fans.

I am one, however, for more than a decade, and as talented as she is and as mainstream as she now is - more or less anyway - she, without being an animated character, likely cannot carry a big-budget movie as the lead. She does great in ensembles, i.e. Enchanted, but I genuinely don't think she's a lead movie star, even if it's a singing role.

Unless it was the Wicked movie.

I am not an Idina fan at all, but since Glenn Close has aged out of 'Sunset Boulevard', maybe Norma Desmond can be in her futture ?

Fair point, although with most movie theatres charging $18 now, that's still cheaper. Although I will agree, she was good in Uncut Gems (where thankfully she didn't sing).
