Yeah, I'm not crazy about the dress, but she still looks great.

Q:What advice do you have for aspiring Broadway stars who are terminally shy? I love your work, because you seem so bold. How do you do it? A:"I think I take more chances on stage then I do in real life but you can't learn anything if you don't challenge yourself. And don't say "terminally". If you love to perform then you have no choice, just keep training and focus on the words or the music whenever you find yourself slipping back inside yourself. Those two clips are going to be on repeat from now until Friday...then the songs will be on repeat.

I can't get over how gorgeous she sounds. "The Prayer" is one of te most haunting things I think I've heard come from her mouth.

I really loved the new tune from Idina. I think the bit we heard shows some huge growth in maturity in her sound and chord progressions. Hope to hear the whole thing soon!

I can't believe there are self-respecting Brits who would willingly see this.

ahem.. for anyone who hasn't already, youtube!! now! gahhh, seriously, Where Do I Begin is just unbelievable. And I agree, she's always been an awesome songwriter but she's gotten even more mature and better at it and its so amazing to hear!

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

heres the lyrics to her new song:
Where do I Begin:

Where do I begin my love?
Starting with the things I haven’t said enough of
Starting with the day you changed my life and ending with the way I feel tonight
Where do I begin?

Where do I belong if you’re not here?
This is way beyond my darkest fear
Don’t know where I am or where I start
The trail in between is way too far
Where do I begin?

I’ve always counted all my blessings
Knowing you’ll defend me, stand by my side
I always turn and lose my sense’s each time I intended words to come out right
Where do I begin my love?
Maybe with the morning you brought me the sun
Maybe with the stars from out of space
You took a few and lit up my face
Where do I begin?

I’ve always counted all my blessings
Knowing you’ll defend me, stand by my side
I always turn and lose my senses each time I intended for these words would come out right

Where do I begin my love?
I always read the last page instead of the first one
There’s no need to rush it all in
I love you and I’ll say it again
Where do I begin?
Where do we begin?

Seriously, who does their wardrobe?

That dress looks awful. There's an orchestra (not a band) in the background and he's wearing jeans.

^^ I agree about the wardrobe it could have been alot nicer.

If anyone wants to listen to this concert, its on BBC2 radio in about 10 mins
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/
there is a link at the top that says listen live. I'm going to listen to the whole concert because I love Josh as well, but if anyone just wants to listen to Idina she comes in about 40 mins into the concert.

Wow, that must have been quite a concert. Not a huge Idina fan, but her and Josh Groban singing together has got to be pretty cool.

That dress is horrid.

Replying to myself...

I LOVE "Where Do I Begin?" It's gorgeous.

"The Prayer" just about finishing now. I like it, but I wish they would have found another duet to do.

^^ I have to disagree I love "the Prayer", and it was nice to here a different version of this song. Most of the time the singer goes up really high, but Idina went low.
ITA about "Where Do I Begin", its quickly becoming one of my favorite Idina songs

I LOVE the sng "The Prayer," but I don't think it worked all that great with Idina's voice (mainly the part where she sang in Italian). Like you said, it was nice to hear a different version of the song though.

really not a fan of her new song... I hope that's not what's the new CD is going to be. As for The Prayer, I think that's hillarious that they's choose this one to sing together since it was recorded by Daniel Rodriguez and Kristin Chenoweth a few years back... funny to hear their takes on the same song.

"I know, seriously. But alas, London does not have playbills and perhaps they were too cheap to spend the $12 bucks on the fancy souvenir programs... *shrug*"

So someone made a typo and spelt Elphaba wrongly. It isn't that big a deal. No need for a comment about being cheap. Don't tell me you've never made a spelling mistake.

Anyway, I heard the first half of this concert on the radio and loved both Idina's songs.
