re: Idina on Kevin Hill tonight

Haha, I'm watching it right now (I VCR'd it), and when Idina said her first line, (I was only listening, not watching), I just thought "Oh em gee! IDINA!"

She looks great, but sometimes she sort of...mumbles her words. Or speaks them too fast. >____<

Wtf? Is it over?! THAT'S IT?! CRAVE MOREeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

re: Idina on Kevin Hill tonight

As little as she was in, I loved seeing her. I never saw her in Wicked so her voice suprised me a little. I think it was higher than I expected it to be. She was great though. And looks great. Can't wait for next week.

Awww I love her. I miss her, LOL. I was so relieved when they put her name in the credits, I was like what Wayne Brady gets credited but she doesn't!? On her husbands's show?! LOL. She was so cute in the church scene, when she was being "flirty" with him ... haahaaaa.

I thought it was funny to see her in a church because she is Jewish. We all know it's acting though...

"You were always too loud Kevin" that line made me giggle.

She's so cute, and I'm glad that she is going to be in the next episode. I'm glad that she isn't playing a love interest with Taye Diggs... it's cute though that she was flirting with him at church. What a cute couple, and I am also glad that they put her name in the featuring credits.

It was upsetting for me to see any of them in church. But hopefully the next episode will end with Kevin Hill's "lifestyle" prevailing over religious fanaticism! (and do we think Idina's character is some sort of homophobe or is she just being a soulless lawyer?)

Just finished watching (VCRed it), her part was way too small! But it was great seeing her and am looking forward to next week's episode!

re: Idina on Kevin Hill tonight

I watch Kevin Hill every week and loved seeing Idina on TV. While I hate to bring down the mood of the thread so far, I have to respond to this:

"It was upsetting for me to see any of them in church."

Why? It's part of the plotline of a TV show. Because she's Jewish? That doesn't mean she can't play the part of a church-going Christian. Or are you suggesting that even their presence in a church makes them a part of this "religious fanaticism" you've mentioned?

No, you're reading into it. I wasn't suggesting anything, just saying that it was particularly upsetting to see them attending a church with a minister who (even before the last few minutes of the episode) was obviously socially conservative!

Trust me, I know about churchgoing from years of experience listening to reverends remarkably similar to the Wayne Brady character (wish I didn't though!). In no way am I indicting the actors for playing churchgoers... lol.

EvelynNesbit, sorry I was so defensive. It's just that these days, people tend to assume that if you call yourself a Christian or go to church, you're automatically a judgemental, homophobic, conservative teetotaler, or something like that. I'm glad that I misunderstood you.

re: Idina on Kevin Hill tonight

(more threadjacking) No, I definitely don't assume that, but I do think it's a little funny to think that today Christians feel so victimized when just a few year ago, I was sitting in church getting victimized by "other" Christians and calling myself one. This episode of Kevin Hill really did hit close to home, not just as far as the minister was concerned but also in the "yes/halleleujah" way that congregations tend to support whatever the minister says without thinking twice. I don't think the shows' creators should feel any obligation to offer a wholly positive portrait of Sunday worship.

re: Idina on Kevin Hill tonight

Evelyn...neither Kevin nor Francine was attending that church because of their beliefs...they were attending because of Wayne Brady's character.

PLus, obviously George and Kevin seemed more than a little upset by what Wayne's character was saying in the last scene...so it's not as if the show is supporting the minister's views.

Ahh, I'm so mad I don't get the channel that the show is on! I would have loved to see Idina in a TV show, I agree, she is GORGEOUS!
