And yeah, I think Sho even mentioned she was going to be leaving in March at Chatterbox.
Hopefully the producers ARE kissing her a.ss because she's INSANE.

I spoke with Shoshana today at the stage door (WON LOTTO! (finally!!) ) and she wouldn't confirm OR deny. but I'm close with a man who works in wardrobe and he said its Sho.

I've honestly heard several "sure thing" rumors about Idina's replacement from my own very reliable sources since summer and none have been true. It's like a big game of telephone.

at this point I wouldn't be suprised if this happened:

Idina was going to kick the tour off...but for some reason decided not to...so, steph was going to come into the role on bway but then they wanted her to do the tour...because she's fab. So, does anyone else think it's possible that Idina is thinking of staying with the show while she would have been in Toronto (does that make sense? It's 4:05 AM) In my mind I seriously have not ruled out her staying...they'd obviously let her stay as it's one of their only "tony titles" and the next Elphie goes on 1 month from tonight and we don't know who it is? hrm.

Again, let me make it clear that my mothers second cousin's daughter's sister's cousin's boyfriend's trigenometry teacher does not walk idina or soshanna's dogs...I DON'T have a "reliable" source...this is just my personal thoughts.

Shoshana's my long lost fraternal twin and we were separated at birth and we have this AMAZING psychic ability! We can read each ohers minds and as I've recently found can sway her thinking a bit. She doesn't know I sway her thinking though. I want her to take the part but she doesn't want to do it. Just a few more nights of filling her dreams with the terrors of not having a job and I think she'll stay. Either that or go insane, but OMG if she does stay it would be like she was god and everyone wud worship her and OH MY GOSH DO YOU THINK SHE WOULD WANT TO BE REUNITED!!!!!!!! I PUT MY FACE IN THOSE DREAMS I GIVE HER! YOU THINK SHE WOULD RECOGNIZZE ME!!!!!!!! (The above post is meant to show how ridiculous it is that everyone has to share their "connections" Granted there are a few posters I love and adore who mentioned they have connections but it was only to refute the people prematurely posting. If you do have a connection who leaked this, if they some way find out who you are and who your friend is you could very well get your friend in trouble. Keep your mouth shut about things until they are verifiable. I speak from experience. One of the reasons why I only post news about shows (Yes including T2C) when something has been publicly announced on playbill or a show's or performers website itself. Negotiations are tough sometimes even the fact that you mentioned this publicly before she was ready might make her change her mind on staying. And it makes you look stupid at which I am quite the champ.

I don't know who it is - if it IS Shoshana, that's AMAZING - but somebody said it was supposed to go to press on Monday. I'm not even holding my breath for THAT (remember how it was going to press like a month ago? Yeah...), but hopefully we'll find out soon enough.

I seriously doubt Idina would do any of the tour considering her role in the Rent movie, which has already started rehearsals without her.
I haven't seen Shoshana as Elphaba, but her voice is amazing and from what I've heard from others she's great in the role, so I would like to see her take over. I just wish they would decide already and let us know!

but whats interesting is that when it finally came out she said she def. wasn't doing it but now someone is saying she won't confirm or deny? maybe she wasnt supposed to give it away that she wasnt doing it and she was told to now put everyone in "wonder" again.

I don't understand why she wouldn't do it. Does she have other offers that are sure things? This is a lead in a highly successful show on Broadway.

I was the one who was told (and posted the info here) a couple months ago by a former costar (and friend) of Stephanie Block, that she was "definitely" (his word) taking over the role on Broadway, so the suggestion that she may have been offered both Broadway and the tour and opted for the latter does make sense. But...doesn't anyone else out there think that the deal has been done and simply not announced? They've been announcing replacements one by one and could be saving this one for the last. I doubt that the replacement herself is uninformed, as she will be giving her first performance in less than a month. I just believe that everyone's lips are sworn to silence.
