Rath, there have been people in the past who had two weeks of rehearsals, it happens all the time. It's obviously not ideal, but it happens regularly.
And I know I might be shot for this but I hope it's NOT going to be Shoshana. I saw her twice so far and she's just not good enough. Last week she had to interupt notes such as 'again' at the end of No Good Deed and re-start the note.
I'm not a fan of Idina either but whatever people say of her, that woman has a hell of a voice and it's going to be extremely tough to replace her.

Unless they have Shosh perform the role until the replacement it ready, if she is not the replacement. They do that for shows sometimes. For example, Nancy Anderson suddenly took over the role of Eileen in Wonderful Town while Jennifer Hope Wills was in rehearsals.

Posted: 12/12/04 at 5:04pmI have clips of Shoshana singing as Elphaba..and her songs just seem a bit different, she changes some stuff around, I mean I think she has an incredible voice, but I never really saw her as an Elphaba..not sure why...

different is okay. every actor interprets a character differently, and she could bring something new and fresh to the show.
