Posted: 9/17/04 at 9:51pmPersonally, I am skeptical if in fact someone else does Elphaba for the tour. Idina is so well connected to the role and sings it better than anyone on the planet. Hopefully, Idina stays with it and tour hits Seattle!!!

speaking on behalf of those who bought tickets to 1/2, we consider an announcement on wickedthemusical.com somewhat definite.

Posted: 9/18/04 at 12:07amThe site used to say she was leaving 1/2/04, but it changed (I think on Thursday morning?) to say that she is leaving 1/9/04. That's how this whole dilemna began: when the Wicked website changed. Playbill's article came out after that.

We just got back from the show tonight. Many people were asking at the box office, and they did confirm that 1/9 is Idina's last day. No reason given why she extended 1 week.
Had tix for 1/2, and asked at the box office if I could exchange for the 1/9 date. Problem is that 1/9 is just about sold out now. Got Mezz J for 1/9, and was told to bring the 1/2 tix back to the box office on that day, and they will be able to resell.
We will probably just go again !!!
As far as the show tonight... awesome as always. Best we have heard Idina in a while. Both "Wiz and I" and "Defying Gravity" were amazing !! JLT's "Popular" is still her strong suit. She is really great during that song !!
Love George Hearn as the wizard !!
We like Joey Mac as Fiyero more than some others... Still cant stop thinking about Adam Pascal playing this part !!!

its just a little frustrating because the website said 1/2, now it says 1/9 and that's supposed to be official.
