I just saw her and Trisha Yearwood---very nice.
I think the cast of Jersey Boys will also be on later. (unless I missed it already)

It sounded like a great arrangement of the song...it sucks that the cut half of it.

The bridge is the best part :)

Now, I switch to CBS for "My Broadway Debut"

I missed part of the intro -- who were the 6 people whom they sang in tribute for? I know that one of them was the Central Park jogger, one was a boy with cancer (and his family), one was a 9/11 survivor, and one was a Columbine survivor. Who were the other two?

They were people who meant a lot to Katie...the Central Park Jogger, the parents of a boy who died of brain cancer, the sibling and friend of two Columbine victims, a 9/11 survivor, and a teacher.

It was done very nicely.

One was an elementary school teacher...I can't remember the other one.

And it makes sense, at least for this occasion, to cut the bridge. I mean, if the song was sort of directed at the people it was being sung to, the whole "I ask forgivness for the things I've done you blame me for" and the "blame to share" thing seems sort of out of place and inappropriate, no?

yeah, but it continues to say that blame is not what's important anymore...and they didn't only cut the bridge...they went from verse 2 to the very end of the song.

Idina looked and sounded great as always and it was a treat to hear Trisha "be Glinda." I have alwasys liked her.

I thought that Trisha was originally scheduled to sing something different.
Of course, things get confusing when EVERY known TV listing has the wrong performer listed to perform on the MOST popular morning news show.

Since Idina and Trisha were supposed to sing this together at that benefit last fall and didn't, I just assumed they'd already practiced together and what not and this was an easy choice. (Idina was sick and Saycon covered for her I think)
