Smaxie hit the nail on the head.
Though Charlotte D'Amboise would probably make a fine Georgia.
(Um...Joanna Gleason can't dance like that)
"Why don't we at TR Knight if we're just going to reccomend every star who came out this year."
Speaking of which, how about Lance Bass as the young guy who's in love with the Lyricist.
Sally Struthers as Carmen!

Producer2-
You make a good point.
BFB-
Wondered when you'd post that.

for Carmen, the first people who jumped into my mind were Patti LuPone and Mary Testa. Tyne also has the ability to make an AMAZING Carmen, but her vocal chops fail in comparison to those of Patti and Mary.
I'll have to sleep on it though, but I'd die laughing if Raul ending up replacing DHP. It wouldn't work, but it'd be funny.
Husky, you cutiepie... you know I'd cast Sally as Sweeney Todd if I could.
What about Rachel York for Georgia?

I wholeheartedly second Sally Struthers for Carmen!!

I like the rachel york idea, and mary testa as carmen.
For Aaron no one should replace...lol i guess maybe Brent Barrett?I know he's no a tenor, but he's got a great voice.
I can't think of anyone I'd like to replace Jason Danieley, his voice is so fantastic. I'm sure there's dozen of capable actors though.
Not a big fan of Rachel York, she's never done it for me. How about Cady Huffman for Georgia though?

Cady's too secure as a dancer, I don't think she oculd pull of the other side of the chracter.
Could Marin Mazzie? I know she's not the best dancer, but her and Jason together...I'd melt.
Alan Ruck as Cioffi. He wouldn't necessarily sell tickets but I think he'd be adorable.
That's actually an intriguing idea...
I also love the idea of Mary Testa as Carmen.
Right??
Okay, someone make it happen.
I would love for Neil Patrick Harris to headline the show during his show's hiatus.
The show will definitely get to replacements, I wonder when everyone's contract expires.

If you can't get NPH to replace DHP, may I suggest another three-named actor: RSL.
That's Robert Sean Leonard.
And for Carmen: I can't believe no one has suggested Joanne Worley.
D2 has suggested (to me, not the producers) the idea of Tovah Feldshuh as Carmen. I think she would be hilarious!

Ugh, don't put JoAnne Worley in Curtains. Really, that's just cruel.
Jumping on the NPH bandwagon far too late!
I like the NPH and the RSL ideas.
And Mary Testa would be great too. :)

- Read the first post.
The principals all signed for a year, Ray, but that doesn't mean they won't re-sign. Every interview I've seen/read with Monk implies that she will, and my guess is that Ziemba would. I don't know about Hyde-Pierce, I guess it would depend on what else he is offered. I hope he stays though.

I don't know any of these stars, but it wouldn't surprise me if Monk and Ziemba would sign up again after their year is up. As for DHP - from various interviews that I've seen - I think he'd continue if he didn't think the dancing in the show would kill him! He makes it look effortless and fun, but I can believe that he is aching and spends time icing his knees and so on.
In a perfect world - when their contracts are up in February, I'd love for them to sign on for another six months. (Purely selfish on my part - I have more leisure time in the summer and then I'd have a chance to see the show a bunch more times!)
If we're talking replacements - Neil Patrick Harris or Alan Ruck would be delightful for Cioffi! I like the suggestions of Tyne Daly or Mary Testa for Carmen, too. As much as I love Marin Mazzie (and love Marin and Jason performing together), I cannot see her as Georgia - even if they downplayed the dance aspect. I'm sure Charlotte D'Ambois could dance it, but I'm just not a fan of her singing.
I could totally see Sarah Gettlefinger as Georgia-great idea.
I could see Kelsey Grammer or Douglas Sills as Cioffi
For Carmen-I see either Mary Testa (cool idea) or JoAnne Worley. (I like Ms. Worley. She's got great comedic timing and would be a hoot.)
Gettelfinger is way too young for Georgia, isn't she?

Jane Krakowski as Georgia!!!!
And Charlotte should stay as far from this show as possible.
