Hence my recommendation for Ashton to play Fender.
"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer
"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher

I forgot to mention how much I love the idea of Queen Latifah playing Motormouth Maybelle. She would be absolutely perfect!
And must we really cast everyone who has ever been in the Broadway cast in the movie? Come on, People---There are other unknown who could be cast.

Leave me alone I like my little cast in my head lol and it's not like I put them all in big part. just little ones
. And I felt bad putting some in and not others lol. I don't like being mean lol.

Not destined to be high in the canon of Broadway musicals based on artistic merit recording this on film would be immaterial to me however I would suggest that a very good solution to perserve the...ahem...integrity of the piece might be to film it as an animated film using the original Broadway cast to recreate the voices they originated. Ergo fans, of which there appear to be legions (shades of the pod people from "Invasion of The Body Snatchers"), will not be disappointed and it will live on film true to its comic book style.
Yours for a better Broadway!

I don't think it would work as well as an animation. Of course I'd go to see it and all, but I would like to see it done as a Live Action film.

Craig Bierko as Link Larkin? Do you know how old that man is? A hell of a lot older than Link, I'll tell you that much. He would never be able to convincingly play a teenager.
