If Man in Chair had a name......

What name do you think would be well suited to the character of Man in Chair in The Drowsy Chaperone?

To be honest? Bob Martin. It's just such a blank name, one that personifies anyone and everyone. I think it's a perfect name for the MIC, as a matter of fact.

Wow, I thought about this the other day. Never came up with a good one, though...I just sort of wondered if the cast or creative team had ever given him a name (considering how much the cast was involved in creating their chracaters' stories, I'm sure someone gave him a name at some point).

Good call, BwayBaby18--he really does seem like a Brian to me. I'll have to think about another one.

I like him being known as the anonymous man in the chair. It creates seperation from the cast performing the musical in which he so dearly loves. Adding his name may confuse people.
But if we had to pick a name Bob Martin would be perfect.

I agree.... Robert Martin...after the character that is getting married to Janet...hmmm.......also the name of the author :)

And I would guess his full name would have to be...
