re: If given the chance to be any role in any musical...

Roger in Rent, the Phantom of the Opera (if I could warp genders), a lead in Wicked (solely because I want to have a Sephora makeup line made in my honour), but really, I think one of the best Broadway roles out there is (I know it's not a musical), Catherine in Proof.

Younger Brother in Ragtime... except I'm African-American. It would have to be a production that played on the themes through race reversal.

I also wouldn't mind standing in for Billy Flynn during "Both Reached for the Gun." I'm not sure that I care to sing "All I Care About" or "Razzle Dazzle."

Hook/Mr. Darling in Peter Pan
Captain Von Trapp (just to sing Edelweiss at the end of the show)
Sweeney Todd
Skaar(sp?) in Lion King
thats just the tip of the iceberg...
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

it would all depend on my mood. right now my mood says Carla in NINE. but i think i would want to be Velma in CHICAGO because it was her performance that made me really want to be on the stage.

If I had to choose (I've have a much longer list of 'straight' plays I'd like to do...I find them more challenging), I'd have to go with Caroline Thibbedeaux.

Yes...I'm a white boy...but you did say 'any'.

re: If given the chance to be any role in any musical...

Enjolras(Les Mis); Sid Sorokin(Pajama Game); Don Quixote(La mancha); Billy Bigelow(Carousel); Anthony(Sweeney); The Phantom(Webber or Kopit's); The Russian(Chess); and Albin in La Cage even though I'm way too young for both it and several of the roles listed above. But, gay or straight, who DOESN"T want to sing I Am What I Am in front of a receptive audience!?! That song RULES!
Word. Word, indeed.
