If your life was a Broadway musical, what would the score be?
1. Open your music library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc.).
2. Put it on shuffle.
3. Press play.
4. For every question, type the song that’s playing.
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button.
Overture: “Anything Goes” by Cole Porter. Well, we’re off to a nice start.
Waking up in the morning: “Believe” by Cher. Okay…
First day at school: “Fidelity” by Regina Spektor. Well, I don’t see how it applies, but, okay.
Falling in love: “Hero” by Enrique Iglesias. Ahhh!!! That makes me happy!
Fight song: “Invincible” by Pat Benatar. PERFECT!!! I couldn’t have planned that one better.
Breaking up: “I Am What I Am” from LA CAGE AUX FOLLES. Pretty good musical so far.
Prom: “Ironic” by Alanis Morissette. I’m looking forward to prom already! : P
Life’s ok: “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi. I guess it works, but I don’t really want that to be me Life’s ok song.
Mental breakdown: “Like a Prayer” by Madonna. Hmmm…
Driving: “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi. That’s an awesome song to listen to in the car.
Traveling the world: “My Heart Will Go On.” Hahaha!
Flashback on my life: “Raise the Roof” from Lippa’s WILD PARTY. Not a problem with me.
Getting back together with first love: “Samson” by Regina Spektor. Ah, that’s sweet!
Wedding: “Spark of Creation” from CHILDREN OF EDEN. Sure.
Birth (or adoption) of child: “The Beauty Is” from LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA. Ah! Very sweet again!
Final battle with lifelong rival: “The Greatest Practical Joke” from SEE WHAT I WANNA SEE. Um…
Death scene: “Us” by Regina Spektor. Not particularly death-like, but a great song, and I’ll take it.
Funeral song: “What Do I Need with Love” from THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE. Well, not what I was hoping for.
Exit music: “You Are Loved” by Josh Groban. If only that was my funeral song.
