Thanks for the site notice!! :)!
And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps...
What did she realize, Kitten?
That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs.
What's wrong with that?
Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had...
Where?
On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

Ohh man I can't believe this. Not since Carrie...indeed. What floors me is that people are actually saying the title song is ok. This is composition compost. It's boring, the key changes are random and the lyrics are well...NO one should be recording this song. There are far too many good composers struggling to get their work heard. Well I'd hate to be an actor or composer during this preview period. I have a feeling there will be a mad dash to fit in rewrites and cut songs...at least I hope there will be.

I just went to telecharge.com for In My Life and apparently, they are only selling tickets starting September 30th. Did the first preview get delayed three days? On playbill.com, it still says the first preview is September 27th. Does anyone know what's up? Thanks!

I don't know who is singing on the first two tracks of the demo, but Megan McGinnis is singing lead on "Life Turns On A Dime."

I just got the sampler CD in the mail.
inside: "When life gives you lemmons...make a musical!"
And on the back cover: "Listen to the best music you've heard in your life - IN MY LIFE."
OY!
Are the lemmons supposed to be their problems?

I'm extra worried about this because there's no one to tell everyone what sucks and doesn't work. The director is the composer/lyricist/book writer. You need more than one person doing this thing, especially when the one person has no experience. There's no separation of powers. Who says "That's crap!" when it needs to be said? Believe me, it will.
If this one's a big success I'll eat my socks. Or even go see it, which would probably be much worse. But only if I can get a really cheap ticket.

I think that's Jason Wooten singing My Mother's Son. He did the workshops anyway. I think he's staying in Vegas as the lead in We Will Rock You.

So the cd sampler for this show just came in the mail. I know nothing about it at all.
The songs are..ehh. I mean I agree with whoever said they sound like solo songs. I mean they could maybe grow on me but...as of now it's not really screaming -amazing to me.
