In honor of Stephanie J. Block's birthday (NO NO STEPH!)

We (the PQ Blockheads have started it this time out) are making a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation as a birthday gift for Steph (September 19th). This is her favorite charity, and we will donate in memory of her friend Andy Smithey, who died of JD.

If you are interested in donating, please click on the link below. The email address is: pirate_queen_musical@hotmail.com

We'll post the total amount here when the donation is sent.

Thanks.

This charity is very close to Stephanie's heart. Andy Smithey was a young man she was very close to from the age of 14. She met Andy doing the Young Americans. Please, won't you make a donation so that other young talents will not die because of this devastating desease!

Why the (NO NO STEPH!)?

Here is a bump for you if nothing else.
"I wrote a book: "How to Be Popular". Now I've put together a top ten list of how to help you: -Elphie, everyday... shower. I mean, who knows? Maybe some of that green is gonna come off! -Deodorant Elphie. No body likes a stinky witch! -I think we've covered the hair, we'll get to that. -Clean underclothes. That's all I'm gonna say. -Look at your posture. That's no way to be popular! -Bed made, room straightened. We've done that. -Colors blended. Oookay. -But the most important thing to have, to make yourself popular, is to keep your beautiful smile." ~Kristin Chenoweth in her last performance of the song "Popular"

NJ - the "NO NO STEPH" is code started on the PQ boards to let Stephanie know she shouldn't read this thread in case she checks these boards. Not sure it'll remain a surprise though seeing that this is posted on her website's message board too. Either way, it's a good cause if you care to give. She'll be thrilled just knowing that this was started in Andy's honor for her.

BTW - if you're not into donating but still wanted to send a card or something, better to send to the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago (c/o The Pirate Queen CAST 151 W. Randolph St. Chicago IL 60601-3109) cause they are moving in there this weekend. The charity was just a good alternative to crowding her with a lot of items since we're not sure how limited her space in Chicago is.

re: In honor of Stephanie J. Block's birthday

We raised $300 for Juvenile Diabetes research in honor of Steph's birthday, and in memory of her friend Andy Smithey. Steph posted over on the piratequeenmusical.com boards, if anyone here sent in a donation and would like to read her message.

Steph's birthday thanks post
