I was really surprised to see such mixed reviews for this production. I thought it was spectacular theatre.

Agree. Vichy is, for me, the best thing currently playing in New York.It is the only play currently running that I would consider seeing a second time. When people say that everyone is replaceable, it's just not true. The theater has not seen another Arthur Miller, and I will wager, it never will.
