The first thought when I opened this thread was "why the hell would Wicked leave the Gershwin for another theater"
Lesson number one though - you really can't take everything you read on Wikipedia seriously.
Now what would you say if today I started over?

Because the Gershwin is a big, ugly, impersonal barn that looks like it should be hosting the VMAs or Grammys -- or a trade show-- not a Broadway show. I know they're NOT moving, but still...
Saw Wicked in Chicago's beautiful Ford/Oriental after seeing it at the srerile Gershwin and thought is was a far more appropriate setting.
