I have tickets for Tuesday night's performance and have a question. My self and my grandma are sitting on stage and when we ordered the tickets we were told to get there early, but it nowhere says how early to get there...Can someone please tell me how early I should get there to get prepped for being on stage.
Thank You So Much!
Early enough to be seated before the show. I'd say minimum of 10 minutes.
Thanks but they said to get there early to be briefed before the show.....
Anyone that sat on stage before care to answer, please...
Thanks!
I did. I usually get there 20 or 25 minutes before any show, to settle in, use the facilities, etc. As far as the "briefing" all you need is time to put your stuff in the locker, if you have any, and have them tell you not to leave the stage til the houselights are up, that the cast is going to be sitting near you and not to bother them, etc. It's no biggie.
Usually they open doors about a half hour before showtime, so I'm sure you'll be fine as long as you're there at least 15 minutes before the show starts. When they say get there early, they mean don't come just as the show is starting.

Exactly!
Sorta off topic, but I have an onstage seat for Spring Awakening. Would my tote bag from STRAND fit in the locker or are they really tiny?
Thanks Everyone!
i wonder what they do with the people who DON'T get there early. i know at the Saturday evening show they had 2 guys who didn't come back to their seat in time from the intermission. they never returned the whole show and it made me wonder where one would put them?
granted, they could've just left because they didn't enjoy it, but it did leave me curious...
When we went, the usher was making sure people were all seated. Her manager even came up to check the status. my boyfriend jokingly asked her if she would have to sit there if they didn't show up. She said that unless they found volunteers from the audience, yes! I'm not sure if they left the seats empty when you went, but I was under the impression that they couldn't leave any of them empty.
really? i saw them move one guy down into the empty spot and then HIS spot behind him was empty as well as one behind that guy. they made it look extremely full but it wasn't...
They are always running out into the lobby about 5 minutes before the show, "Anyone with stage seating?", if there is nobody answering, they get volunteers from the audience, and the stage people who are late sit in the seats of the people who were moved to the stage. I believe that's what happens. I only observe what I see in the lobby.

Millie: I think a tote bag would fit, if you can bend it. If it doesn't, I think they have a bag/coat check thing.
