I find "I Know Where I've Been" from Haispray to be fairly inspirational.
"What I Did For Love" is another good one.

They have already been mentioned but I would like to repeat two winners:
"Some People" from GYPSY
"Look to the Rainbow" from FINIAN'S RAINBOW--an absolutely wonderful forgotten gem of a song, with a great melody and superb, uplifting lyrics.

Not Broadway, but “You Are Loved” by Josh Groban.
“Children Will Listen” from INTO THE WOODS
“A New World” from SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD
“For Now” from AVENUE Q
“Heart and Music” from A NEW BRAIN
“You’ll Never Walk Alone” from CAROUSEL
“Crazy World” from VICTOR/VICTORIA
“Somewhere” from WEST SIDE STORY
I’m not all that familiar with FAME, but I’m pretty sure there are a couple of songs near the end dealing with this sort of situation that you might look into.
