I'll start:
About two years ago, I saw a production of FOLLIES added "It Wasn't Meant To Happen" and "All Things Bright and Beautiful" at the end, after the Loveland sequence. Sally sang "It Wasn't Meant To Happen" to Ben, who revealed that he had brought a flower for her and they sang "All Things Bright and Beautiful" together. It ended with them in the "Too Many Mornings" embrace as "Hey, Up There" is sung by the ghosts.

What did Buddy and Phyllis do during that?
Absolutely nothing. After the two scenes ("You bet your ass"/"It IS tomorrow") between the couples, Phyllis and Ben left and Buddy told Sally he was getting the car to go home, and he exited. Suddenly, Ben entered and Sally morosely sang "It a Wasn't Meant To Happen". Buddy and Phyllis never came back onstage. Until the added material, it was actually a really good production for a community theatre, the dancing was excellent. But the end was bizarre.

A production of South Pacific where they added It's A Grand Night For Singing, Happy Talk was divided between Bloody Mary, the two commanding officers and Emile and his kids, and the two commanding officers joined in on You've Got To Be Carefully Taught.

Wasn't there an infamous production of ANNIE where it was all a dream? She woke up at the end back in the orphanage crying I believe.
^ I would pay good money to see that version. Sounds hilarious!!!

It was a few years back at Trinity Rep. Once Charnin (I think?) got wind of it, they had to remove the "it was all a dream" ending.
Haven't seen this but I'd like a Damn Yankees with a drag queen (Jynkx Monsoon!) playing Lola that gets turned back into a man for helping Joe.

There was that version of The Sound Of Music that used a reality singing competition winner as Maria and a bunch of Broadway unknowns to fill in the lesser parts.
