Ok, first, yes: It's mostly because the Lopezes are busy with other shows and are bound to be called for Giants and/our Moana.
But, I find it weird that Finding Nemo is a show at Disney World which has strong Broadway assets like the scenic and costume design, and a gorgeous score/songs. And I read a while back in this forum that it was supposed to be a full show, but most of the script destroyed because of money or/and time reasons. I find it odd that they haven't taken the old scripts and what they have, and try to put it on Broadway yet.

Posted: 3/17/14 at 11:38pmI do love the movie but part of me is thinking that they're still reeling from the tragedy that was other fish on The Great White Way. The idea seems quite simple, but I think it'll probably be a little while before we see any fish swimming about, at least from the Disney side.

Posted: 3/17/14 at 11:48pmI love the idea of the notion of the prospect of the show of a Finding Nemo: The Broadway Musical! appearing on Broadway sooner rather than later Kerry Butler Dory anybody (?) because Dory should have a big belt number and because by the time FN:TBM! is on Broadway probably already the movie of Finding Dory will be out and everybody will have the Finding movies on their mind and by then also maybe Finding Neverland and so that would be more the Disney side but I do wonder if the Pixar side might consider being the lead head producer name like Pixar Theatricals instead of Disney Theatricals to give it a bit more of that Pixar credibility although now with Frozen which is also scheduled and maybe fast tracked to be a Broadway musical maybe Disney Theatricals is ready to have a rebirth and bring them back to the golden years of Disney Theatricals which scholars agree was from the Beauty & The Beast to Lion King years but I have every faith that they can recapture that special time because you can't every really and truly count out the House of Mouse, amiright?

No one would pay $140 a ticket for a longer version of that theme park show... It packs them in down there, but that's largely because it's air-conditioned and free.

Namo, by any chance do you happen to hock the fat trimming pills that get posted on here late at night? The wording looks the same.

Posted: 3/18/14 at 12:21amAgreed. We should probably use a word like "amusink" instead. It has a German feel to it while still accomplishing the feel of having a cocktail in-hand.

Posted: 3/18/14 at 4:44amThey'd be smart to keep their FINDING NEMO musical small and not expand it. Put it up at the New Victory or New World Stages. It'll be the hottest children's theater ticket in town!

As I pointed out "back then", this wasn't ever the case. Finding Nemo was never written as a full show. There are no "trunk songs" or expanded book lying around waiting to be produced.

I can just see it now, three whole ballads ripping into Diane Paulus.

@FindingNamo:
I wouldn't be surprised if they released FN on Broadway around Finding Dory. It would give each other really good publicity. Like in the playbill, it would have an ad for Finding Dory and maybe before the movie, there would be a commercial for it. And yeah, most likely Pixar will be credited
And MattBrain, Diane Paulus could be a great choice for the show

Perhaps, but I was referring to how FindingNamo's dislike of her...and his need to voice it every chance he gets.

When has Disney had a difficult time getting publicity?!
