Invitation for Local Queens Theatre Community

Painted Pistachio Productions, a collaboration of emerging artists creating independent theatre in NYC. We’d love to invite any local theatre reviewers to review our one-night-only staged reading of The Spinnerets by Douglas DuBrin on Tuesday, September 9 at 7pm at the Hellenic Cultural Center in Astoria.

Described as a “demi-tragic, somewhat-apocalyptic mystical play,” this ninety-minute piece blends comedy, drama, and haunting edge — exploring humanity and survival while questioning whether the greater priority lies with the collective or the individual.

After a developmental reading at Woodstock’s historic Byrdcliffe Theatre last month, we seized the opportunity to co-produce this NYC presentation in less than two weeks, thanks to the support of the Hellenic Cultural Center.
