I read on Wikipedia (which, I know, in most cases is not a veritable source for anything) that Adrienne Bailon is joining IN THE HEIGHTS as Vanessa around the same time Corbin Bleu joins as Usnavi....can anybody confirm or deny this??

I have no idea but I sure hope so. My Daschund could play the role of Vanessa with more energy and excitement than Marcy.

To be fair that was a thread on Mandy leaving ITH and there was very little discussing of it on there(I assume that is the thread your talking about)

Disney casting galore if this is true. I wouldn't mind this choice though, I think she has a good voice.

The addition of two Disney staples (Bleu and Bailon), I think are an attempt to revive a dying show with some star power, make it more marketable to the "Disney"-age audience...or possibly both.

I kinda hope someone new is going into that part... Marcy is not a good match for Corbin- due to the fact that Corbin is younger then most Usnavi's.

I could picture her more as Carla than Vanessa.

That said... I don't have anything against Marcy but if she is staying that is going to be SO awkward.
