People liked it, yes, but I don't understand how you could look at the show knowing anything about theatre and call it "good theatre." There were so, so many things wrong with it. No, I didn't *like* it, but it's just not good. And I like plenty of things while still recognizing that they're not good.

I'd say buy the Cast Recording first and see if you like it, it's pretty much a love it or hate it kind of show.

I saw it on Broadway several times and really liked it!!!! When I go to see a show I just want to have a good time. And that's what I did with Brooklyn. The show is different.. a show within a show basically. The music was fun and the actors were having so much fun on stage and thats what made it so great for me. I had a good time anyway.

It's a love or hate it kind of show. I personally don't think the show is great but I like many of the songs. Personally I'd say buy the cd and save the trouble of buying a ticket to see the show.
I loved it!
It's crap. But I enjoyed it.
Parts of it were great, parts of it were not. All a matter of opinion.
Even though I am past student age, I'll use my student ID to get cheap tickets to see it.
Thanks
it wasn't wonderful. infact- it wasn't even good, but for what it was- it was entertaining
There are bad shows I like. But I didn't like this one.
