Only if they know how to behave in a theatre.

I haven't seen Forbidden Broadway, but I have seen satirical-type shows similar to it and most of them are NOT suitable for children. So I'm hypothesizing that this also is not suitable for children.
I'd have to disagree - not so much a matter of age (sort of) but rather if they are familiar with the shows they are lampooning - otherwise it would be totally over their head.
I agree with FrontRowCenter - the key to the show is knowing the shows they are lampooning. If you have not seen or are familiar with the shows they are lampooning, no matter what age you are, it may go over your head.
Sarcasm aside, I agree with the above. If they're not familiar with the shows in question, save yourself the trouble and use their ticket money for a babysitter.
I actually have taken some kids to FORBIDDEN BROADWAY before and they had a blast - despite not knowing anything about the shows being spoofed - they thought the sketches/costumes were amusing in their own right. They also asked tons of questions afterwards and begged to actually SEE the shows being lampooned - so I'll go out on a limb and say, my experience, is that it helps foster children's interest in theatre. (These kids, for the record were 9 and 12 - I wouldn't take very small children to see it.)
I think the content is OK for teens and older. There are enough boob jokes that I would leave younger kids home.
Also, I agree with the comments that anyone who is unfamiliar with the shows that are being roasted wouldn't enjoy the show.
How old are the kids? There is nothing to inapropiate for anyone over 9 or 10.

While I understand what MB is saying I still believe that the show itself doesn't lend itself to anyone not familiar with the shows be targeted, there are many current shows playing that would provide a much more appropriate entre to Broadway (and yes, some of those shows are by Disney). At least in those shows they have a story and music to follow, and more importantly, understand. Hopefully it would leave them wanting to see many more shows.

What I meant was - is there anything appropriate for children younger than 11?
They'd have to understand that they're poking fun at other shows...
On the subject of "fostering childrens' interest in theatre," isn't it a better idea to introduce them to theatre with something that's not completely lampooning and making fun of the artform that you're trying to introduce them to? Just thinking out loud here....
The current edition doesn't have anything all that risque in it. I think anyone over 8 could go. It's a really great, funny show.
