Is MDQ releasing their soundtrack to stores?

I saw that it was on Amazon.com and the show website, but I was wondering if they were releasing it to any stores?

I ordered the MDQ Broadway cast album. It is available (only?) from www.milliondollarquartetgoods.com. (There's a Chicago album, also--be careful.) At $32 it is expensive, and the "fast" shipping took two weeks and smashed the jewel box.

But the album has not had a proper national retail release and none is planned. If anyone knows of its availability via other outlets please post.

I have it, and I'd rather listen to the original versions by their respected artists. Waste. Has this show announced a closing date yet?

The original Broadway cast recording is also available at the Playbill store for $20 plus $4 shipping and handling.

My understanding is that the producers haven't yet found a record label who will agree to distribute the album. Without a distributer they can't even get it onto Amazon, let alone into any physical retail stores. So for now it's only available at the theatre, and online at Broadway specialty stores with industry ties.
