Oh ok, logan, I didn't know that. So I guess she didn't get the offer, Patti was definetly better than the one on tour.
Just adding to the Patti love.
Yes, she was a hauntingly beautiful Margaret. Hers and Vitctoria Clark's were horses of completely different colors which I thought was outstanding.
She had a much more subtle Margaret, as if you turned down the "Steel Magnolias" knob on Victoria's a bit & you'd then have something closer to Patti's interpretation. It was also gorgeous to hear a soaring soprano performing that score.

That is really sad--I would have loved to have seen her as Margaret on the tour. As many of you may be aware, I am not Christine Andreas's biggest fan.

The wigs for Christine have varied over the years and from production to production. She was always wigged as brunette in every single production, BUT depending on the execution of the wigs by the resident hair staff/associate hair designers, the actual styling could differ... Some of the best wigs for the role have been seen in Hamburg, Broadway (this decade), and Australia.
That being said, earlier this decade, a few blond Christines popped up in Europe...they were so wigged in the Stuttgart production and the Copenhagen production.
Please note to all...no matter who has played Christine, she has ALWAYS been wigged...that hairstyle would destroy a head when executed 6 times a week.
^ True that. Like I said earlier, I have the same hair as the Christine wigs, but it would take a lot of time, effort, pins, and product to get it into that style and make it stay.
Doing Christine's hair would take twice as long as the Phantom's makeup if she weren't wigged.
