Yes, the Broadway version of "The Wiz" was actually more faithful to the Baum book than the MGM film.
And they do have all four witches.

I kept thinking about The Wiz too. All four witches who all have a song. Except for the dead one.
In my opinion, Glinda just multitasks and takes care of the North and South.

Posted: 5/22/06 at 1:22pmAnd of course, in the Baum book, the Wicked Witches were not sisters, purely an invention by the MGM writers to give a Dorothy a "threat" during her journey across OZ and provide more of a through-line to what is a very episodoc book.
