First Zac, now Ortega. I think Kevin Bacon is using the principles found in "The Secret" to keep sabotaging this project. And I want to thank him.

It wasn't going to be a movie musical version of the stage musical. It was going to be a new adaptation of the original film, with more music & dancing. Not a traditional book musical, neither.

Unless it's a musical like the stage show, I don't see the point in "redoing it." I think people realized that with FAME. Had FAME been done as a movie-musical it might have been more successful, but it wasn't.

Now, now...there is no mention that the project has been axed completely. With the search on for a new director, we can always hope the film may be upgraded from "atrocious" to "awful".

And speaking of "downtrodden," if you thought von Trier's last musical, DANCER IN THE DARK, was unrelentingly depressing...

I suggest McG for "atrocious"-cum-"awful" directorial replacement, call it McFOOTLOOSE, get a tie-in with Ronald McD, and be done with it.
