Is it worth it to see Evita in Los Angeles?

Will they have an Eva that can sing better than Elaine Rogers? I certainly hope so.

Thing is, while I love the music I never thought the show was very good. Without a STRONG Eva (a La LuPone) I don't see the point.

Well, since nobody named Elaine Rogers ever played the part, I guess you're safe.

And I think it's cool how you go to see shows that you never thought were very good.

There you answered your own question.
"There’s nothing quite like the power and the passion of Broadway music. "

My question really is, is the new Eva any good? Anyone hear anything? I know Josh Young is in it. Him I saw in JC Superstar and he was very good. But without a good Eva I have absolutely zero interest, personally.

Since you've all ready decided that the show will be bad, perhaps you can go on for Elaine Rogers, and show everyone how the role should be sung.

Well, she's no Irene Ryan and that's for damn sure. I just let the producers know you will probably not be attending. They were thrilled, uh I mean very saddened.

This performance lacks excitement and energy. It's kind of one note. Also, the new Eva sounds really heavy, and by the end of the number she is completely out of breath. The Che sounded bored too. I hope they shape up by the time they get to Houston.

I'll find out though...

P.S. I loved it on Broadway when I saw the revival.

"All the black women you've insulted"

That is such crap. I never insulted any black women, and you know I haven't. I made a single comment that I didn't realize would be taken a certain way. I have apologized for it.

"I made a single comment that I didn't realize would be taken a certain way. I have apologized for it."

That is such bullshlt. You made racist comments over and over and over and over again and tried to justify them when called out on it.

I certainly never made racist comments over and over again. You know I didn't, Jordan. I really don't get why you're saying that. You can't even site examples.

I'm assuming people here already know how insane you are, so I'm gonna let it go.

Yeah, you're right. I'm the only one who remembers that.

And everyone here does think I'm just certifiably insane. I never have anything remotely interesting to say or news to report. All I do is post random nonsensical things that nobody cares to read, yet I keep on posting over and over again.

Oh, wait. That's you, not me.
