For Hugh alone --GO!! His performance is an event not to be missed. The story and book are weak, but Hugh is a SENSATIONAL performer. A performance that will go down in the books. I wish I could see it for the second time- but it's not in the cards.

There have been occasional historic performances that you always wish you'd had the opportunity to see. People will talk about them for years and years. Hugh's performance is one of those. They will be talking about this one for a long, long time. If you have any chance at all of seeing it - do so. It's definitely worth it.

The reason BFO's price raising is a bit different from that of The Producers in my eyes is that BFO is closing soon. They're barely going to make back their investment, and these last few performances are their last chance to make any money at all. The Producers,, on the other hand, is going to run for years, even if it's not with Broderick and Lane. It's not quite the same.

I saw The Producers with the original cast and it left me cold.

The Boy From Oz which I am seeing for the final time 9/11 (sigh)
thrilled me and left me with Hugh withdrawal. I paid for premium seating (for the most recent show I saw) and I did not regret it one bit. We've spent about $1200. on tickets so far.
