Dirty is one of the classics I have never seen along with It's A Wonderful Life.

I still stand behind what I am saying. I read today that there will be massive layoffs in Dept stores after the holidays. Mayor Mike is shilling for the municipal unions (sucking up for his reelection bid) by castigating the city council members who voted against raising property taxes again. He still does not get it & he is supposed to be a business mastermind.

Anyone who opens a new show, especially in this climate, has to have his or her head examined as they have a death wish. It would almost be like something out of Bialystock & Bloom Productions.

Maybe we can get some concessions from the technical side like reworking contracts & doing away with antiquated work rules that add to the cost of opening & running a show. I know prices will not go down but any additional price increases, especially in this economy, would be suicidal.

The Addams Family musical in the Belasco would be great, but I think the number of seats would make it hard to make money. The Belasco only has 1040 seats compared to 1428 at the Neil Simon and 1468 at the Shubert. There is a gigantic trap space at the Belasco that could greatly benefit the production, but I don't think anyone really has a conception yet of what the set design will look like, so that point could be moot anyway.
