Just another example of a born again "Christian" taking things literally and only reading the part that suits their agenda.

That's right. How DARE that little wifey sass and backtalk her man like that? Doesn't she know that under the Old Testament, Thomas can have her stoned for such insolence????

Sueleen, for your info, I'm NOT A BORN AGAIN Christian. I'm just a Christian. Don't put me into that catagory with those others who claim 'if you don't believe in Christ you won't go to heaven.' That's their way of thinking, not mine.

I stand corrected. So you have been a homophobe your WHOLE life, then? I would hate to label you as one who was late for the Hate Train.

Correction Sueleen. I NEVER said that I did hate, and frankly, I don't appreciate you putting those words into my mouth. Secondly, I just don't BELIEVE in their way of living. When their times comes to go before God, it's up to God to judge them, not me.

I can't believe Twelve Angry Men and Richard Thomas are still listed as your favorites, after what he did.

Incidentally, did God smite his wife yet?

If you want to continue loving RT don't ask. And ever if you say you don't HATE, you certainly are full of DISGUST for all things GAY...Oh, I'm sorry, the correct term is Faggy.
No matter what you label your feelings for gay people, it is still hate.

Sueleen, just because I don't believe in homosexuality, doesn't mean I hate(which I don't) those who choose to live 'that way'. I just don't go by 'the ways of the world'(meaning I don't go by what the rest of the world does)( I try to follow God's way's) I'm my own person(I don't follow the crowd).

I am confused by all of the religious aspect of this discussion. What interests me about the Washington Post article is the whole question of the "responsibilities" of a star touring with a show after it ends its Broadway run. So few big stars sign on for more than 6 months to a year in NYC, let alone touring with the show after its Broadway run. Thomas is to be congratulated, with or without his wife (she was only encouraging him). Incidentally, back in 1961 Ethel Merman toured the country for 9 months in GYPSY after staying with the production for its entire run in NYC.That shows commitment to the theatre from one of its biggest stars ever.

Kringas, I don't believe that is a true article. Do you have a link to that publication?

And RTfan, you don't BELIEVE in Homosexuality? As in you do not believe it exists? I love how you say you were enjoying someone's performance in RENT until you found out she was "one."

It will all be ok RTfan, just stop "believing" that Thomas' wife talked him into this.

I really still don't get the opposition RT has to this, a couple got together and made a decision. What in the world is your real problem with this?

With the other stuff, stop the "I don't hate the sinner, I hate the sin" nonsense. Hatred and intolerance are hatred and intolerance, no matter how you try to wrap it up.
There are also a wide range of Christian responses to this, so I say stop hiding behind the cloak of piety as well.

Another Christian View of Homosexuality

I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

I don't have a link, Sueleen. I picked that copy of the paper out of a burning bush.

Calvin, if he did , good for him. And I'm sure his wife must be really proud of him. Funny though, his first(ex) wife Alma didn't stick around for very long, gee, I wonder why?

Dylan, I couldn't care less what his wife said to him. She talked him into it, good for her. She must have a lot of trust in him to be on a national tour for eight months. I wouldn't.

His imdb bio said he was married for almost 20 years. Why do you have such contempt for him? Isn't he one of your favorite actors?

Kringas, I have nothing against him what so ever. I was just wondering why his first marriage didn't last.

Could also be the reason why she encouraged him 'as some of you said' is because she's used to living a certain lifestyle. With all the fancy clothes, cars, and such. Gee, I wonder if she works?
