I tried. It just won't go through.
I guess the Lord doesn't want us to see it.
You need to copy the end of the link- is this the article?
link
If that IS the article, I don't see what about it is questionable.

Yes ,it is.Thanks. Learn something new everyday. I didn't realize that you have to copy the end link, I thought it was the whole link you copy.
I, too, see nothing to question about this article nor anything that should be in question.
"Besides, aren't non-musical plays dinosaurs on the road, where singing witches and dancing Hitlers reign supreme?" -- But this made my day
Besides, aren't non-musical plays dinosaurs on the road, where singing witches and dancing Hitlers reign supreme?
Please. Ethel Merman and Jerome Robbins have been dead for years.

My question about it is, if he had any misgivings about doing this national tour, than why would he sign up for it? Knowing that he himself must've known how long it would be, plus not to mention hard on his family. But than as I read on, it it stated that he wife had said to him, 'Are you crazy? You have to do this tour'. Why would he HAVE to if he had misgivings about it?
Perhaps it was this quote that sent our little homophobe into a tizzy, "It was his wife, Georgiana, who set him straight."
Sounds ok to me, I mean, there are still plenty of people who seek out Shakespeare, and not just the comedies. There -are- after all, plenty of thinking people who like to be entertained with good drama...
I live far far from Bway, and it's very nice when touring groups get down south...

Sorry to say, your incorrect Sueleen. I just feel that if he had any misgivings about signing up for the National tour of '12 Angry Men'she should respect his feelings rather than pressuring him.

I agree. The wife should be submissive to her husband.
Do you mean you COULDN'T care less?
I don't think they are saying that his wife is forcing him into doing it, she is encouraging him strongly, as in "You MUST do this for your own good. You are an ACTOR, now GO ACT." It is what supportive spouses do.
I don't think she is holding a gun to his head.
PS You really should learn the difference between the words "than" and "then".

I just don't get what the big deal is. So the man had some misgivings about a job that was going to take him away from home and having him live on the road for months. Those kinds of misgivings seem acceptable.
The sass from his wife, of course, is not.

Sueleen, I just don't feel that any spouse should be telling one another what they should(or shouldn't do). HE CAN decide for himself.

hyperbole [hahy-pur-buh-lee]
noun Rhetoric 1. obvious and intentional exaggeration.
2. an extravagant statement or figure of speech not intended to be taken literally, as to wait an eternity.
Christ, you are one of those posters who go back and edit a post once someone points out the flaws and makes the person who comments on them seem as if they don't make any sense.
Note to self: Cut and paste ANY post from RTFan into a post I am responding to.
If you are talking about the timing of the conversation and JohnBoy taking the job. It is probably just the writer's mistake. The conversation probably took place before he took the job.

I just can't believe that that's all you got out of the article. Did you miss the quote in which he said "To her eternal credit, she said, 'You have to do this tour.'"? It sounds like he's grateful to her.
