I believe they are $50 at the theater too, but I haven't been in person and can't say for sure. If someone can verify that, I would be happy to paypal, mail, or wire the money for the record and shipping to you immediately.

He must alternate the line about the birthday card because I remember him describing the bunny which said "HOppy Birthday".

I saw Drowsy twice over Christmas and didn't sense that Sutton was bored.

The vinyls at the theatre are $55. If your friend had asked the ticket scanners if she could just walk in and buy it they would have allowed her, that's what I did.

Yeah, I did that for Mary Poppins once...my sister wanted one of those parrot umbrellas so I just explained to the house manager who was stading at the entrance that I just needed to make a purchase and he let me in...of course he watched me to make sure I didn't try to jump into the theatre ans steal a seat. But anyway, I was able to get the umbrealla without a ticket.

One of my friends wanted the Elphaba messenger bag that recently went on sale at WICKED. Its only available in the upstairs gift shop, so the manager walked us up to get it.

You SHOULD be aloud to walk in with permission to buy merchandise.

Does anybody know if they will still have any around March 31st? If not is anyone willing to purchase one for me and mail it (I will cover all shipping costs) or let me pick it up when I get to NYC?

At the 11 Mar matinee the friendly and helpful (and swamped) merchandise guy said that there were LESS than 100 records available. The Marquis Theatre is the ONLY PLACE that you can obtain the last available records. Cost is $55.00...I picked up 2 copies!!!!!

Do you guys actually have record players?

"Do you guys actually have record players?"
*raises hand*
I have one! Actually I bought it after I got the Drowsy record. But I had been wanting one for some time because I had a couple albums on vinyl that I had been wanting to play. Since I purchased the turntable I bought 25 more records on ebay! (I bought in bulk re: Is today Bob Martins Last performance in Drowsy? ) They were cheap! About a dollar a record!
Right now I'm listening to my Pearl Bailey Cab Calloway Hello Dolly record.

The show was wonderful. I was in the 3rd row and totally DISAGREE with anyone who says that Sutton and Beth were "going through the motions." In fact, I found them both extraordinarily "on" today. Beth cried and barely got through her reprise of "Stumble Along" when she took Bob's hand at the end of the show.

Casey Nicholaw was in the audience, I noticed.

BTW, Patrick Wetzel is taking over for Lenny Wolpe in May.

correction...I believe Patrick Wetzel will be taking over for Eddie Korbich in May, not Lenny Wolpe. Patrick in much too young to play Feldzieg (sp?) although I know he's an EXCELLENT tap dancer!

Also, completely disagree about Sutton and Beth's performance. I thought they, and the whole cast seemed very "present" for Mr. Martin's last performance. Definitely think Wetzel was too young for Wolpe's part but I thought he was funny.

Patrick Wetzel told me himself he is taking over for Lenny when he leaves in May.

That's all I know.

Patrick Wetzel told me a week ago that he was taking over for Eddie Korbich in May (as Eddie will be going to The Little Mermaid.)

Interesting! I knew that Eddie was leaving but didn't know who would take over for him. I think it will be a better fit for him.

Also, it was so touching when Beth started to cry during the reprise. She is such a doll!

Patrick may have said "Eddie" instead of "Lenny." It may be my mistake. (It wouldn't be the first!)

I am sad that Eddie is leaving though because he is a wonderful performer and one of the sweetest guys around. I wish him all the best...I know he will bring so much to whatever he endeavors.

Did anyone get to meet Janet Van De Graaff? She was there yesterday...and is just as sweet and affable as Bob.

I pointed her out to my ten-year-old daughter who ran over to her, shook her hand and said, "Hi!" Mrs. Martin replied, "Do you know who I am?" And my daughter said, "Yeah! You're the REAL Janet Van De Graaff. You're Bob's wife!" She was very surprised and impressed!
