Oh this is great! This is the one casting choice I actually agree with. I love Alan, he is such a fantastic actor, I'm sure he'll be wondeful in the role.

Does anyone know if he can sing?

Yeah...Can he sing? I don't think it matters as much as if Depp can sing. Turpin can get away with speak singing much of the time if need be...

This is so great that he's doing Turpin. The cast is taking great shape with Depp, Carter, Cohen, Kelly(Has she been officially confirmed yet), and Rickman.

Now, when do you think we'll get an announcement regarding the casting of Tobias, The Beadle, Johanna, Anthony, The Beggar Woman, and Jonas Fogg?

He'll be perfectly creepy. I hope he can sing. Not that it matters all that much for the Judge, especially since he probably won't get his "Johanna."

He is one of the few things I like about the Harry Potter movies.

COOOOLkid, just so you know, the majority of HARRY POTTER fans are incredibly intelligent. The books are not the easiest to read in the world and the only HARRY POTTER fans I know (myself included) are quite intelligent. And about 95% of the ones I know are musical theater geeks.
