It's Only A Play - extension?

Posted: 6/4/14 at 6:50pmSo my one week in NYC in January is turning out pretty well so far. Tickets to The River and The Elephant Man are secured (Hugh and Bradley - oh mamma!). But I cried when I saw that It's Only A Play will end its run before I arrive. What are the chances that the season will be extended? Does it happen often with plays with big stars?

Let the show rehearse, preview and open first.
Then speculate.

Unlikely. It says "Strictly Limited Engagement" on its website. Usually 'Strictly' shows don't extend, although I'm sure there have been exceptions.
Also, a bunch of shows end their runs a few days into January every year. So this may not be the only show disappearing then.

Posted: 6/5/14 at 11:06amI would love for this to extend to next summer. But I know that's near impossible.
