J Elaine Macros in A Chorus Line

Just found out that Marcos is still in A Chorus Line as Connie(filling in for the injured Yuka Takara). She was only supposed to play Connie for a week(Dec. 4-9) as she took her vacation from The Wedding Singer to fill in. She played Connie last night and is also scheduled to play Connie tonight. Does anyone know if she was able to get out of her contract with TWS to keep playing Connie???

Elaine is a GODDESS ! I worked with her at a certain Mickey Mouse outfit years ago and find her to be an amazing performer and a class act all the way. She's hilarious in Wedding Singer but I love her as Connie, too.

I wouldn't think she would leave THE WEDDING SINGER permanently like right before the show closes, but that is very cool she's in A CHORUS LINE
whatever happened to Yuka? (that's her name I think)

If she has a better role in a show that will still be running and Yuka isn't back yet, why wouldn't she stay?

bwayondabrain, don't be so sure she wouldn't leave TWS early to continue with ACL. She was more than willing to do so, but had run into a road block when the producers wouldn't let her out of her contract. It seems as if that might have changed...

I really enjoyed J Elaine's performance last night as Connie. She definitely made Connie a memorable character whereas when I saw it with Yuka's understudy...Connie became more forgettable to me with the name change and fewer punchlines (year of the chicken, etc)
