JACKIE HOFFMAN KISSED A WESTPOINT CADET TONIGHT DURING THE SCENE IN XANADU WHERE SHE FAMOUSLY IMPROVISES (IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE THERE ON A LUCKY NIGHT), THEN SAID, WITH HER LEGS IN THE AIR, "SO, HOW DOES IT FEEL TO KISS A 1,000 YEAR OLD WOMAN?"
THE CADET WAS THERE WITH A GROUP OF TEN OTHER CADETS.
THE HOUSE WAS IN HYSTERICS FOR 5 MINUTES.
NOW, THAT'S BROADWAY.
Haha!!! That's hysterical. Jackie Hoffman is one of the funniest people.
That sounds awesome.
She could host The Price Is Right
How "old" was he?
Is that legal?
She's hysterical! Love it!

"Is that legal?"
Eh, is there a law against underage kissing in the U.S?
I'm assuming if he was from West Point he was at least 18. not that I...think there's a law against underage kissing, as sesboa pointed out.
Haha! That's great!
Kissing like a Cougar would kiss a young guy or kissing like my Aunt Carmella used to kiss me hello and goodbye?

He's already risking his life in defense of his country- does he really have to go through any more tribulations?
Don't pick on Jackie!
she's awesome ++ adorable
Cadets from a high-profile military school went to Xanadu??? (Or should I say it in all caps? "...WENT TO XANADU?")
Seriously though... did they know what they were going to see? Despite being light years from the show's target audience, they're waaaaaay too young to even remember the movie at all.
Odd.
Why is the movie pertinent to the show? I didn't see it and I love the show
I love Jackie Hoffman.
Could Jackie have her own VEGAS show like Bette Midler? I haven't seen Bette yet so I odn't know if she's any good. Has Jackie ever been a stand-up comic?
I think their "Target Audience" is anyone who wants to laugh and have a good time. Sure there might be certain demographics to hit, but since it does have a wide appeal on its own....
And since the flick does have a kitchy camp cult thing, maybe someone they know recommended it.
Hell, men in uniform knows no demographics!
Yeah, half the Military is gay. Go to any gay chat site online. I think every screename with Military, Navy, or Army is taken. While "don't ask don't tell" is enforced, guys get around it (by going to Xanadu for example).

What difference does that make? I'm too young to remember the movie coming out, but that doesn't mean I haven't seen it (I WISH I hadn't). I love the show anyway.
I was born the year after the film came out and its one of my favorite films. Some of us aren't the product of our generation. If we were we'd be on Beyonce sites all day.

Thank you AGAIN, Singing ! Its ENTERTAINMENT !! If you want to have fun, go see it !!! It does have mass appeal.
I was at that performance (Fri. Apr. 25), and perhaps there was a slight exaggeration. She did indeed kiss the cadet (after cooing Marilyn Monroe-ishly "Thank you so much for serving our country"). It may have been a 5-10 second kiss, and there was some cheering and applause, but I wouldn't say it stopped the show for any number of minutes.
Mary Testa also made reference after the show when she and Jackie were making an announcement about donations for Broadway Cares. She said that Cheyenne Jackson would pose for photos (for $20) and/or one could get a cast-autographed poster (for $60). She then said what if one of these cadets' commanding officer's noticed said photo/poster? "Is that a gay poster on your wall?!" "Sir, no sir!"
Thank the lord that you posted that in all caps.
That hurt my eyes.
