I'm bumping this up because I finally saw this yesterday, and my friend and I really enjoy. Neither one of us is anywhere near being a financial guru. If we can puzzle out our 401(k) statements, it's a good day. But I guess I'm drawn to this material to some degree. I also really liked the movie The Big Short. I think it's important for the average person to understand all this, because the results of the financial manipulation we saw here affects all of us. I was engaged from start to finish.
I enjoyed the fast pace, and I thought the storytelling was excellent. I often have trouble following complex plot lines, but this was crystal clear. I am a Steven Pasquale fan, and I thought he was wonderful. I don't see why Brantley thought he was miscast.
I am wondering about previous comments in this thread about a female narrator. I didn't notice a narrator. I'm wondering if that's been changed?

I finally got to see this yesterday and I enjoyed it. I was a little apprehensive seeing this at first because I know next to nothing about financial mumbo-jumbo, but I do like Steve Pasquale, so decided to go for it.
I was seated right side, 5 seats off the wall. I can see all the actors, but for the most part just the backs of their heads. I asked the usher at intermission if I can move to a better seat and he replied that I can move to any empty seat. So I moved to seat H 311. Smack in the middle and I appreciated the show much more, as I can clearly see all the transitions and graphics used.
I was surprised that it really was not that difficult to follow the story. I found it fast-paced and engaging. And has been mentioned already, the actors were all great.

The narrator was still there. She opened the show — the female writer character.
Thanks, Moira. I didn't realize she was the narrator, because she was usually telling her own story. I didn't find the narration intrusive at all.

For anyone interested, Ayad Akhtar will be doing a book event on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at the 86th Ave. Barnes and Noble. Originally it was just supposed to be him in discussion with a moderator about the play, then he'd sign copies for attendees, but now it looks like Steven Pasquale and other cast members will be performing scenes from it. Here's the BN page:

I really enjoyed the play and would love to go to this, but I've got class downtown until 3:30. Hopefully some fans here can attend!
I kind of wonder whether the playwright wrote this with a potential movie adaptation in mind. It moved a little too fast IMO and I think it might work better as a feature film.
