Remember her from the original Drood? Her life took a tragic turn and she was homeless and mentally ill for a while. Anyone know if she recovered?

There was quite an extensive, very insightful article written 6 or 7 years ago, you can read here:

Sadly, I haven't heard any updates since on her condition or whereabouts...one of my colleagues used to be very close to her during her theatre days and always said how marvellous a person she was onstage and off. A truly tragic story (matched perhaps only by her costar, George Rose and his untimely demise)

Jesus, that's sad. I only hope that she's on the road to recovery. It's been two years since that article was written. Hope she's doing better.

She was always terrific to watch; and who didn't love her "geographically unplaceable accent" in Drood?

Actually, the article was written nearly ten years ago. I haven't seen or read much about her since. I, too, hope she's managing.

I never got to see her in Drood (I was too young when the show first opened) but she was always one of the main standouts for me on the recording.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

That article says she was replaced by a younger actress for a show. Anyone know what show?
