BLANK is closing?
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

The only "official" extension was for 2 weeks. A block of tickets went on sale, but Roundabout did not extend past the contracts of its original stars. I don't personally count the announcement of tickets being on sale an extension.
I was under the impression that Birdie was not a limited run. I know they extended their ticket sales block by 2 weeks, but I thought the show was originally intended to be open-ended.
BIRDIE was never announced as an open-ended run. It was supposed to be a limited run originally scheduled to Jan, then changed to April now moved back to January when the stars leave.
I don't know why the OP started a whole new thread on this but the information is basically teh same as always:
SUPERIOR DONUTS & SHREK - will be closing in January as announced.
OLEANA - closing to this weekend.
WHITE CHRISTMAS - limited run that was only scheduled to run to Jan 3
RAGTIME - Reidel is speculating. No closing notice has been posted. The producers will wait and see how the show does in teh next while.
THE 39 STEPS - the closing was announced some time ago. The transfer is (or was) being considered by the producers but nothing has been confirmed yet.
All this talk of a January bloodbath on Broadway is a bit overblown. Two long-running shows will close, along with one recently opened play, and two limited run musical revivals. That is all..so far.
