well to everyone who said i was cute (merch "twink") .. thanks
ciao. oh and i think the mermaid tails are gorgeous... way better htan having them all "fly"... that would be a disaster. use your imagination
oh and i dont really appreciate the word twink... thanks :-p
So has anyone ever told you you're a dead ringer for Master Frodo?
hmmm. no. i think it may just be that pic lol
lol I totally see the Elijah resemblance...but that's a good thing.
I enjoyed the review especially the pic/description of Under the Sea with that Dumbo ride lmao
i think the attraction just went away.
Aww, Brian is now heartbroken.
not quite.
hehe
Thanks everyone for all your responses and it was a pleasure posting all those photos and sharing my experiences to all of you. I always take soo many photos everytime I watched a broadway shows (well not as MUCH as now for my 10/10 Reports) bec. I have a broadway scrapbook ..yes- I love to do scrapbook and its filled with my memories of the broadway shows that I watched...Hoping that someday when I am old and gray in a nursng home.. it will bring back good memories and magic everytime I flip my broadway scrap book pages . I might share it to you guys one of these days...It has the same format as my Report.. it has production pictures, playbills, stage door pictures and one more thing....my tickets
Here's a sample of my BROADWAY SCRAPBOOK: (Can you see the set design from the show? )
The Company page- I included an old playbill to indicate that it was a revival- also can you see the ice cubicle designs to emulate John Doyle's staging...
The Spring Awakening/Evil Dead page:
For SA: I used a blue ornament to stimulate the blue light coming down for "the Mirror-blue-night" and the playbill was tied like the stage at the end of ACT 1
For Evil Dead: You see the blood and the book of the dead...
The Grey Gardens page- I split the page into two design which symbolize the glorious 1940's and the rundown house in the 70's ... with vines growing reminescent of the vine around the Walter Kerr and I include the buttons from the show...
but of course - it does not have the things I LIKE & DONT LIKE.....
******
Here's some answers to questions: sorry did not get back soon....
1. verynycurios- The $90.00 seats (total) are perfectly fine. Lunt- Fontanne only has two-tiers so its not that steep... besides all the actions happen at the middle of stage... and actors most of the time are facing you- I think jordangirl made a comment that the blocking is very OPERATIC since the director is an opera-director- I guess.. she can explain that to you better- but we discussed it... another thing we noticed in the musical...
2. mikem- All the cast members came out- I did not get to them bec. the stage door was VERY DISORGANIZED .. I think even Wat made that comment that it was a mess... it hard to get into the actors.... no line... no order...
***********
and leave that poor Mercandise boy alone... poor child.. I just accidentally took his picture.. I did not realzie that we all be salivating over him .. IF he only knows..LOL!
If this makes your day... there's a lot of cute MERCHANDISE BOYS at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater.. I have noticed that too... not much women... I wonder why?
Thanks again you all....

About the staging being operatic... We noticed that they tended to all turn to the front to sing rather than being turned to the side or more in position. Not quite to the "let me step over to sing" stage, but close.
After "If Only," is there a "Her Voice" (Reprise) that is not listed in the Playbill (sung by Ursula)?
I don't remember.
I'm gonna have to stop coming in this thread. Jay's swimming Ariel keeps freezing my browser. I've had to force quit and restart it too many times. Sorry Jay!
TWKfans4- I am sorry. I dont know the answer... but I think there's a song in between those two-I dont know if that's reprise... I am not sure?
maybe WithoutATrace can answer you- he have seen the show 6 times (he is the authority on TLM now) ..you may wanna pm him...

Jaystarr, as always your enthusiasm is infectious! You almost made we want to revisit the show...almost!
Thanks again for the lovely photos (I like the blurry ones!) and the well thought out review.
I look forward to more. What's your next show?
Tom,
Well -next week I wont have my 10/10 Report which I usually post on Mondays. Next week I will have my Special Photo Thread on THE FABULOUS FOX THEATER in Atlanta (my another favorite thing to do is to visit beautiful & historic theaters across America- when I get an oppurtunity- I usually travel for work and its a great oppurtunity to look at those magnificent theaters in our country- not only Broadway houses. I will probably have 4 of this Special Photo Threads this year (Fox in Atlanta, Suprise Theater in NYC, Orpheum Theater in San Francisco and Chicago Theater in Chicago)
For my next shows:
1. Mamma Mia - on 1/28- its nice to revisit long running shows specially with Carolee Carmello and all the new cast.
2. The Little Dog Laughed- on 2/3 - I am going to focus on 2 Regional theaters in Hartford & Boston doing this play...(of course everyone knows that Chad Allen is starring in Hartford's LDL)
3. Encores' Applause on 2/10
4. Sunday in the Park with George -on 2/18
5. Passing Strange - on 2/25
6. In the Heights - on 3/3
7. South Pacific - on 3/17
8. Gypsy- on 3/24
That's all I have for now (with tickets) I tried to limit my posting to once a week on my 10/10 Report- If I will have 2-3 shows.. I will put it all in 1 thread , so I dont monopolize the board besides I post other things too...

Jay - don't worry about monopolizing the board! That's MY job .
I'd love to see more photos of your scrap book!

You're both great reads, so feel free to monopolize!
Too bad, Jay, that I'm never available on weekends. If you are ever in town for a show during the week, let me know. I'll be there.
I'm seeing Encores, as usual on Thurs. Can't wait for APPLAUSE! and both you and Yanks reviews.

I'm torn (re: Encores). I don't really have interest in seeing APPLAUSE, but I don't want to miss it in case it's as good as I've heard FOLLIES was.

Was Sherie nice? Does she often come out after the show?
I'm really looking forward to a wonderful review of Sunday in the Park with George. You're reviews are always wonderful and visually thrilling. Thanks lots.
P.S. Your scrapbook is also wonderful & I would love to see more!

Yank, never miss anything at Encores! Even if you don't like the show that's up, it's always an event.
Thanks so much! That was really detailed.
Sierra is so gorgeous I can't even stand it...
the Her Voice reprise sung by Ursula was cut from the show before previews started..

Do you mean previews in New York?
I know they had it at least early in the "previews" in Denver, I can't remember if it was there later though. I liked it, it's too bad if it was removed.
