Whether Jekyll and Hyde is a tour, a revival and/or a tryout, the bottom line is that the show isn't very good. While I don't think it falls into the 'ghastly' category, I do feel that it is sub-mediocre.
I felt that way about the Broadway production, but the original production and pre-Broadway tours were FAR superior and very different. I feel this opinion has to be put out there, too.

Posted: 8/27/12 at 2:35pmThe producers are touting this as a "revisal" not a revival. :) Constantine is a wonderful performer. I poo poo'd him for years until I saw him live and realized he is really dynamic and a great vocalist. I think he will sell this show. He's gotten a good rep with audiences.

He seems a perfect choice.
And he will kill nightly on the tour.
