Jelani Remy as Simba?

Hey everyone - apologies if there is a duplicate post somewhere. My friend and I are in NYC and he wants to see either Lion King or Wicked (I have seen both, and he has only seen Wicked). Lion King, for me, comes down to if Simba can deliver. Do you nice thespians have any feedback on how Jelani Remy is doing as Simba? Personally, I'm leaning towards Wicked as the cast seems a lot stronger.

Really appreciate all of your input!

Just as a heads up: there aren't too many folks here that go to see Lion King....so you might not get a lot of feedback. (Wicked isn't a big favorite, either, but there are some fans here.)

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Appreciate the feedback! And, I can't say I'm too surprised :)

We're seeing Dear Evan Hansen tomorrow night and I'll be going to Bandstand on Friday night or Sat matinee. I'm guessing folks will have more thoughts on those.

I'm a friend of his and he's incredible. Toured with him for a bit and have seen him really grow and succeed here in New York. You'll enjoy him.
