Jennis gonna want a lot of "mommy time". But I know her. She's so happy to be doing what she's doing and being a mom will not stop her. I'm really trying to get her to ease her way to Broadway. The hard part is when you play such a critical role in an action/drama, its hard to make a transfer into a big flashy Broadway Musical. Many of you have seen the "quirky" side to Jenn in 13 Going on 30 (especially in the dance scene). But you guys have no clue how AMAZING of a Musical Theatre performer she is. She's so versatile that she could EASILY pull of Charity, but I would love to see something written specifically for her....I (personally know) she's DIEING to do a revival. But what show? Hmmmmmmm.........I know she has the capability for doing straight plays, but she could definitly be more featured (her talents I mean), in a musical.
Personally, I think she would have made quite the bombshell of an ULLA for the Movie Version of the Producers...first of all, her name would be well known....second, she can sing, act and dance like nobody's business, and third, maybe people would see how great of a singer/dancer she is and maybe THEN she would be getting offers for Broadway Musicals...

it would be soo cool if she and sutton did a show! they remind me of each other. not physiscally though theyre about the same height!, but the mannerism and stuff. anyone see it?

I was about to hold my tounge on Jules' post...but then I remembered...it's MY thread, so I'm holding it hostage...haha
Most of you know my feelings towards WICKED, so I'll focus them in a more specific direction:

I've often thought about saying this....but like many others, was afraid of being pegged with virtual veggetables...
I know everybody remembers Susan Egan as the origional Belle, and boy was she ever amazing!
BUT
I think had the producers put Jennifer in for Sutton during Millie, the show might have stayed open longer...Don't get me wrong, I know that nobody can beat Sutton in that role...She WAS Millie, but "on stage Jennifer" reminds me a lot of Sutton too...Plus, I don't think Egan had enough marquee value to keep that show running.
Put a tall, slim, singer/dancer, with HUGE marquee value in a show...I think it has a pretty good chance of staying open..

Egan wasn't a good millie. and yeah sutton and jen have the same like dorky quirky mannerisms. if you ever see jennifer on like talk shows she is SUCH a dork sometimes and its SO CUTE. Sutton is the same. I would die if i could see Jen as Millie. ahhh that would be the best

i couldnt say it better myself! talk show Jenn reminds me of Sutton and her dorkyness. and i would have DIED if she replaced Sutton. it would have been genius!

Jennifer Garner also evidently did some musical theater years ago at the Timber Lake Playhouse, where I worked this past summer.

theres also a clip of her somewhere that shows her rollerblading around in a nun outfit and singing from when she was in "Nunsense". They showed that clip to embarras her during an interview lol.

I think Garner will return to the stage after Alias is finished and the little one is a tad older. I've definitely heard through the biz grapevine that she would like to do a musical in NYC.

correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe she was an MT major at Denison University right here in grand ole Ohio...IF they have that major (I'm not sure anymore, I can't remember, lol) - I know she participated in them a lot and wasn't she a theatre or musical theatre major there?

Jenn in fact was a MT major at Denison.

I always thought she would make an excellent Roxie Hart and I think she would make an excellent Charity Hope Valentine as well.
She has one Broadway credit for A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY as an understudy back in 1995. The show only ran for 24 previews and 55 performances but IBDB doesn't say if she ever went on.

sutton and jennifer garner definitely remind me of eachother. in one of the old blogs from the "little women" website, there is a description of the casts' dressing rooms and for sutton, it says:

Someone said that no one could out due Sutton in Millie and i higly disagree i saw Cathrine Burnell (the understudy) do the role of Millie Dillmount and she BLEW Sutton's millie out of the water......
